MY GEAR

It all started with…

Ever since I started in photography I have always used Canon, as my collection grew the interconnecting of Canon's EF series lenses became the norm, upgrading along the way as photographic equipment is rather expensive. Many companies offer equally as good products but in my opinion Canon has the edge both in lenses and camera bodies. I'm lucky enough to be a member of Canon's Professional Services (CPS), which if needed is a massive bonus both in terms of repair and loan of equipment.

Listed below are some of the items I use for my Wildlife Photography, some of these are Amazon affiliate links and if purchased will not cost you anymore but I may get a slight commission to help me to keep producing videos on YouTube & help my Wildlife Photography. Thanks.

Clothing & Accessories

brands i’ve worked with

Being a Wildlife Photographer for over 35 years, and spending prolonged periods in harsh environmental conditions becomes the norm, and demands the best equipment possible to keep you comfortable in whatever nature throws at you. As far as hides/blinds go my recommended brand of choice are those made by Tragopan. Designed by photographers, for photographers, they are full of essential features, well designed and will last. To check out their products visit their website and as an ambassador to Tragopan use the discount code richardtrago5 for a 5% discount.

Woking with a company as passionate as Vallerret was really special as they are photographers inspired by winter, thriving in the deepest darkest days of the year. They know the perfect winter shot takes patience and endurance, so if you’re going to thrive in winter, it requires the tools to stay warm. I wear the Skadi Zipper Mitt LRS alongside the Merino Long Sleeve Tee and the Merino Zip Jersey

Clothing is vitally important to a Wildlife Photographer, often finding yourself out in all conditions. Collaborating with Revolution Race was such a great chance to use their awesome products. Their products are free of any potentially hazardous chemicals and safe to wear. They strive to produce products with minimal environmental impact. No matter how sustainable a product is, it can seldom justify the use of two products instead of one. At RevolutionRace, sustainability starts there!
