Whilst spending time with Fox Cubs this year the Vixen would always check the coast was clear before the young emerged from below ground, in this image she was doing her final checks before they came out. I was hidden from view in an old hide with the wind in my favour, I was motionless until she was relaxed enough for me to take an image. Fieldcraft is everything, without it the game would be up and she would be gone!
